Uses

N-Succinyl-5-aminoimidazole-4-carboxamide Ribose is used in the detection of adenylosuccinate lyase deficiency in infants and mice as it is seen as a significant indicator in autism diagnosis.

Uses

A metabolite of Purine. Purine metabolism by adenylosuccinasedeficient. Since adenosine is a potent inhibitor of neuronal function, depressing the release of several excitatory transmitters and causin g direct hyperpolarization of neurons, it was possible that the symptoms seen in adenylosuccinate lyase (ASase) deficient patients could reflect an interference of succinylpurines with neurotransmissi on.
