Isbogrel is used as Thromboxane A2 inhibitor and for the treatment of short-term myocardial ischemia.

Synthesis

Isbogrel was prepared by isomerized mixture compound from a a wittig reaction of 3-Benzoylpyridine (I) and phosphide (II).
