2-Chlorodibenzo[b,f][1,4]thiazepin-11(10H)-one is a useful synthetic intermediate in the synthesis of Clothiapine (C588550); an atypical antipsychotic of the dibenzothiazepine chemical class that has shown efficacy in treatment-resistant schizophrenic patients.
