动力精核苷可用作医药合成中间体，如制备一种新型的核苷类RNA聚合酶抑制剂在制备治疗肠病毒71(EV71)感染疾病药物。如果吸入动力精核苷，请将患者移到新鲜空气处；如果皮肤接触，应脱去污染的衣着，用肥皂水和清水彻底冲洗皮肤，如有不适感，就医；如果眼晴接触，应分开眼睑，用流动清水或生理盐水冲洗，并立即就医；如果食入，立即漱口，禁止催吐，应立即就医。Kinetin riboside是细胞分裂素类似物，可诱导癌症细胞死亡。抑制HCT-15细胞增殖的IC50值为2.5 μM。

Kinetin riboside displays antiproliferative and apoptogenic activity against various human cancer cell lines. Kinetin riboside is able to inhibit the proliferation in HCT-15 human colon cancer cells in a dose-dependent manner (IC 50 =2.5 μM). Kinetin riboside induces apoptosis in HeLa and mouse melanoma B16F-10 cells. Kinetin riboside disrupts the mitochondrial membrane potential and induces the release of cytochrome c and activation of caspase-3. Bad are up-regulated while Bcl-2 is down-regulated under kinetin riboside exposure.
Kinetin riboside significantly suppresses tumor growth. The most effective anti-melanoma response is elicited at 40 mg/kg.
