| 外観 | 白色〜うすい褐色, 粉末 | | 解説 | ウリカーゼ，EC 1.7.3.3．ユリカーゼともいう．尿酸を酸化してアラントインに分解する反応を触媒する酵素．基質特異性が高い．尿酸 ＋ O2 ＋ 2H2O → アラントイン ＋ CO2 ＋ H2O2 ヒトや霊長類にはその存在は知られていないが，ほかのほ乳動物には認められている．とくに尿中にプリンの代謝産物として，前者では尿酸そのものが排泄され，後者ではアラントインが排泄されていることが知られている．ブタの肝臓より単離された酵素は，補欠分子族として銅を含んでおり，分子量は12.2×104 とされている．反応の至適pHは9.5付近にあり，ジチゾン，1,10-フェナントロリン，2,2-ビピリジル，チオ尿素やN,N-ジエチルジチオカルバミン酸エステルなどで賦活化されるが，重金属(Cu，Mn，Co，Zn，Ni，Fe)により阻害され，シアンでは不可逆的に阻害される．基質特異性の高いことを利用して，尿酸の定量法にも利用される．
