| | ammonium manganese(3+) diphosphate Usage And Synthesis |
| Chemical Properties | Manganese violet (Managanese violet), also known as pigment violet 16, is a purple powdered chemical with low coloring and hiding power and a pH between 2.4 and 4.2. It is non-toxic. It has excellent acid resistance, but poor alkali resistance, moderate oxidation and reduction resistance. Weather resistance, light resistance and weather resistance are excellent. It does not bleed and has no color shift. 10% pigment water slurry is slightly purple. It is mainly used in the manufacture of cosmetics, such as the production of eye shadow, eyebrow pigment, lipstick, etc.. Typical physical properties of manganese violet include density of 2.6-3.0g/cm3, oil absorption of 20-30g/100g, pH of 10% slurry of 3.4, average particle size of 1.0-1.8μm, and 325 mesh sieve residue of 0.1%. | | Flammability and Explosibility | Non flammable | | Synthesis | Manganese violet (MnNH4P2O7) is manufactured by heating manganese dioxide with ammonium dihydrogen phosphate and water. Phosphorous acid is added and the mixture is heated until the violet color is developed. |
