Lithium Aluminum Hydride Application :

2.It is used as polymerization catalyst, reducing agent, jet engine fuel and synthetic medicine. Aldehydes, ketones, acids, anhydrides, esters, lactones, quinones and acyl chlorides can be reduced to alcohols, nitriles to primary amines and halogenated hydrocarbons to hydrocarbons. However, it is usually impossible to hydrogenate the carbon carbon double bond. Application: very strong reducing agent.
