Petitgrain Oil

It is obtained from the branches and leaves of Citrus aurantium L. subspecies amara L. by steam distillation. It is yellow to brownish yellow liquid. With bitter neroli scent, similar to Chinese hawksbill leaf oil. The relative density is 0.878～0.889. The refractive index is 1.455～1.462. Optical rotation -4°～+1°(25°C). Ester content (based on linalyl acetate) 45.0% to 60.0%. The main components are linalyl acetate and linalool. Mostly Paraguayan orange leaf oil. It is widely used in daily flavors and food flavors.
