| In vivo | In both a rat model of rheumatoid arthritis and a mouse model of asthma, ICAM-1-IN-1 demonstrates significant therapeutic effects. Notably, after nine days of treatment with ICAM-1-IN-1, there is a reduction in the swelling of inflamed ankles in the rat arthritis model; however, it does not exhibit efficacy during the acute phase of the condition. A 21-day regimen of ICAM-1-IN-1 at a dosage of 25 mg/kg markedly decreases ankle inflammation in arthritic rats. Additionally, this treatment leads to a notable decrease in eosinophil counts and levels of serum-soluble ICAM-1 (sICAM-1). |
