Production method:

Adjust pH to 9 with sodium hydroxide solution, filter and wash to obtain levamisole. Adjust the pH to 3-4 with hydrochloric acid, add activated carbon to decolorize, filter, concentrate the filtrate until dry, add acetone to cool to 0℃. Crystallize. Strain and dry to levamisole hydrochloride. In the separation of d-imidazole salt of p-benzoyl tartrate, the mother liquid obtained is the mixed liquid of D-imidazole free base, and racemic tetramidazole is obtained by elimination. Racemidazole can also be resolved using p-toluenesulfonyl glutamic acid or d-camphorsulfonic acid.
