Used for organic synthesis.

Usage: Vitich reagent, used for the preparation of alkenes and increasing the carbon number of unsaturated carbon chains. The precursor of Wittig reaction is widely used in the synthesis of unsaturated bonds in liquid crystal materials. It also has wide applications in organic synthesis. It is a good cationic phase conversion catalyst.
