Description

It is an excellent demethylating or dealkylating agent for the cleavage of ethers, also with subsequent cyclization, often in the production of pharmaceuticals. The use of boron tribromide for effecting complete demethylation of aryl methyl ethers at, or below, room temperature. Phase-Vanishing Reactions that Use Fluorous Media as a Phase Screen.
