Description
Isoimperatorin is an anti-inflammatory agent, that also has an effect on proliferation, isolated from the dried roots of Angelicae dahuricae. In bone marrow derived mast cells the compound has been observed to inhibit, at an IC50 24 μM and 10.7 μM, COX-1 and COX-2-dependent phases of prostaglandin D2 generation. In the same cells the compound also inhibited the production of leukotriene D4, demonstrating Isoimperatorin’s 5-lipoxygenase inhibitory activity. On prostate cancer cell line DU145 Isoimperatorin impaired proliferation with arrest at G1 and induced cell death. The compound also displayed chemopreventive effects against aflatoxin B-1 on H4IIE cells by increasing GSTα activity. In addition, Isoimperatorin at 2 μM completely abolished 3-methylchoranthrene-inducible CYP1A activity.Related product price
