8a (3 g, 16.36 mmol 1 .00 equiv) was dissolved in acetic acid (4 mL) and concentrated hydrogen chloride (4 mL). The resulting solution was stirred for 4 h at 80 °C. The mixture was then concentrated under reduced pressure to give 8b (2 g, 94%) as a white solid, which was used without further purification.
