Preparation 152: 1 -Oxaspiro[2.3]hexane To a solution of methylenecyclobutane (724 mg, 10.63 mmol) in DCM (40 mL) was added dropwise a solution of mCPBA in DCM (20 mL) at room temperature and the reaction was stirred for 16 hours. The reaction was washed with Na2S03 solution (40 mL), Na2C03 solution (40 mL), water (40 mL), dried over sodium sulfate and concentrated in vacuo at a temperature below 30 °C to afford the title compound as a colourless liquid (1 12 mg, 13%) that was used in the next step without further purification: 1 H NMR (500 MHz, CDCI3): δ 2.73 (s, 2H), 2.61 - 2.46 (m, 2H), 2.36 - 2.24 (m, 2H), 1.95 - 1.76 (m, 2H).
