14 General procedure for preparation of compound 64
To a mixture of compound 19B (120 g,483 mmol, 1.0 eq) in 2 L of dichloromethane was added (Boc)20 (105.5 g, 483 mmol, 111.0mL, 1.0 eq) in one portion at 15°C under N2. The mixture was stirred at 15 °C for 12 hours. The reaction mixture was quenched by addition of 500 mL of N[-{4C1 at 15°C, and then diluted with 500 mL of H20 and extracted three times with 3 L of dichloromethane. The combined organic layers were washed twice with 1 L of brine, dried over Na2SO4, filtered and concentrated under reduced pressure to give 150 g of compound 64 (431 mmol, 89% yield) obtained as white solid.
