To a solution of 3 (610 mg, 3.3 mmol) in dry DCM (20 mL) was added triethylamine (550 μL, 3.9 mmol) and benzyl chloroformate (550 μL, 3.9 mmol). The reaction was stirred at room temperature for 2 hours. The solution was concentrated and purified by SiO2 chromatography over a gradient of 0-30% EtOAc in Hexanes to give 4 in 66% yield.
