A mixture of 3-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-l,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl)phenol (0.50 g, 2.27 mmol), 2-bromo-N-isoopropylacetamide (0.61 g, 3.41 mmol), and K2CO3 (0.47 g, 3.41 mmol) in DMF (3 mL) was stirred at rt followed by addition of ice water. The precipitate was filtered and washed with water and dried to provide the title compound (0.32 g, 44%).
