3.2.4. Synthesis of 2,2-Dimethyl-2H-Chromene-6-Carbaldehyde (1c)
To 5 mL of toluene, 1b (0.39 g, 2 mmol) and DDQ (0.5 g, 2 mmol) was added, and stirred underreflux for 4 h. Then the mixture was filtered o, and the filtrate was concentrated under reducedpressure and purified on a silica gel column with mobile phase of PE-EA (5:1, v/v) to obtain 0.35 g of acolorless oil (1c) in 92.6% yield.
