Step 1-2

To a stirred solution of Compound (1-1) (832.3 mg, 3.868 mmol, 1.0 equiv) in MeOH (25 mL) and H₂O (12.5 mL) was added NaOH (309.5 mg, 7.736 mmol, 2 equiv) at rt. The resulting mixture was stirred for 2 h at room temperature. The reaction was concentrated under reduced pressure and then acidified to pH=3 with 3N HCl solution. The desired product Compound (1-2) (346.7 mg, white solid) was collected by filtration.
