4.2.3. Synthesis of 2-Chloro-3-hydrazinylquinoxaline (4)
A mixture of (10.0 g, 0.1 mol) of 2,3-dichloroquinoxaline and (10.0 g, 0.22 mol) of hydrazinehydrate in 200 mL of ethanol was stirred for 16 h at 25 °C. The resulting precipitate was filtered,and the solid was washed with ethanol and air dried to give 7.5 g (100%) of crude product as a yellowpowder, m.p. 181-182 °C [23].
