Example 1 2-methyl-imidazo[1,2-a]pyrazine Bromo-propan-2-one (1.48 g) and pyrazin-2-ylamine (0.93) g in EtOH were heated to 75 C for 1 h. The reaction mixture was cooled, concentrated under reduced pressure and purified on a silica gel column (10% MeOH/DCM) to yield 1.8 g of 2-methyl-imidazo[1,2-a]pyrazine.
