To a solution of 6-methoylindole (300?mg, 2.04?mmol) in 5?mL DMA, POCl3 (1.9?mL, 20.4?mmol) was added at 0?°C. After stirring for 2?h?at room temperature, the mixture was basified with 10% NaOH aqueous.The precipitates were collected by filtration, washed with water and dried to afford intermediate 21a (346?mg, 89.6%) as yellow solid, the crude product was used without further purification. The spectral data of 21a was in accordance with literature report [34].
