Example - 32; (3S)-3-(3-Cyclopentyloxy-4-methoxyphenylcarboxamido)-2,6-dioxohexahydropyridine.Step 1: (3,S)-3-Aminohexahydro-2,6-pyridinedione was prepared as follows: To a stirred solution of (35)-3-(N-Cbz-amino)hexahydro-2,6-pyridmedione (200 mg, 0.76 mmol) in ethanol (10 ml) was added 5 % Pd/C (10 mg) and the mixture was stirred under hydrogen atmosphere for 1 h. The reaction mixture was filtered 5 through a celite bed and the filtrate was evaporated to give free amine quantitatively yield as a greenish yellow viscous liquid which was used as such for coupling reaction.
