2.2. The thermal oxidation process of DMF
Accelerating rate calorimeter (ARC) (Arthur D. Little Inc. USA, ARC2000) is an excellent thermal analysis instrument to evaluate the thermal stability and safety of hazardous chemicals. It is an attempt that the DMF oxidation process and safety evaluation was measured by ARC, and the measurement conditions are as follows: In the sample container, the shape is spherical bomb, material is titanium, and volume is 8.5 ml. The volume of container plus pipeline is 10 ml. In order to ensure the safety of the experimental process, the sample mass of DMF is 0.2-0.8 g, the initial atmosphere (nitrogen or oxygen) pressure is < 1.0 MPa. The experiment was repeated twice. ARC mode: ‘heat-wait-search’ mode (HWS mode); Start temperature:293.15 K (room temperature);End temperature: 523.15 K;Temperature step: 5.0 K;Temperature sensitivity: 0.01 K; Slope sensitivity: 0.01 K• min -1; pressure sensitivity: 0.1 kPa; Wait time: 20 min;Search time: 10 min.
