Steps:
A solution of product from Step B (50 mg, 0.31 mmol) in THF/water (1 I mL/0. mL) was treated with concentrated hydrochloric acid (0.1 mL) and the resulting solution was stirred at room temperature for 1 h. The mixture was concentrated in vacuo to remove the THF and the aqueous layer was extracted with ether (6 x 5 mL). The organics were combined, dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate, filtered, and evaporated under reduced pressure to afford the product (7.5 mg, 18%) as a clear film.
