4,6-Dichloropyrimidine 1f (10.0 g, 67.12 mmol) was dissolved in 50 mL of isopropanol, 1 g (3.48 g, 67.12 mmol) of cyclopropylamine was added and the mixture was reacted at room temperature for 4 hours.The reaction solution was concentrated under reduced pressure and the resulting residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (eluent: System C) to give 6-chloro-N-cyclopropylpyrimidin-4-amine 1h (1.90 g, white powder) Yield: 16.7%
