4-(Piperidin-l-yl)pyridin-3-amine.In a 250 mL round-bottom flask was dissolved 3-nitro-4-(piperidin-l-yl)pyridine(297.3 mg, 1.435 mmol) in methanol (12 mL) to give a yellow solution. Pd/C (153mg, 0.143 mmol) was added, and the mixture was stirred under hydrogen (1 atm)overnight. After 16 h, the mixture was filtered, washed, and concentrated togive an off-white solid (254 mg, 100%): 1H NMR (500 MHz, MeOD) δ 7.90 (s, 1H),7.81 (d, J = 5.4 Hz, 1H), 6.94 (d, J = 5.5 Hz, 1H), 3.03 (d, J = 4.1 Hz, 4H),1.74 (d, J = 4.5 Hz, 4H), 1.65 (d, J = 3.9 Hz, 2H).
