Steps:
A mixture of NaOH (0.06 g, 15 mmol), PPCAE (1.763 g, 8 mmol), THF (16 ml), MeOH (15 ml) and H2O (8 ml) was stirred at 65 °C for 4 h. After removal of the solvent under reduced pressure. MS(ESI): m/z (%) = 233.8 [HPPC+HCOOH]-, 223.9[HPPC+Cl]-, 188.1 [HPPC+H]-.
