EXAMPLE 7 2-(6-Chloro-2-pyridyl)acetic acid, hydrazide A 4.3 g. portion of 2-chloro-6-hydrazinopyridine (prepared in Example 1) is treated with acetyl chloride by the procedure of Example 2. The reaction mixture is evaporated to dryness and the solid is treated with a saturated aqueous solution of sodium bicarbonate and filtered to yield 5.33 g. of crude product. The material is recrystallized from acetone to yield 3.70 g. of the product of the Example m.p. 220°-225° C.
