To a stirred mixture of compound 3d (24 g, 93 mmol) and TEA (19 g, 186 mmol) in DCM (300 mL) was added (Boc)20 (22 g, 102.3 mmol) at 0°C. Then the mixture was stirred at rt overnight. TLC analysis indicated the total consumption of compound 3d. Diluted HCI was added until the pH of the mixture was adjust to 7. Then the mixture was extracted with DCM (3 x 200 mL). The organic layer was washed with brine, dried over Na2S04 and concentrated to give 3e as a pale yellow solid (32 g, 96% yield).
