Steps:

Use ethyl erucate (0.3mol) as raw material, anhydrous tetrahydrofuran as solvent, and lithium aluminum tetrahydrogen (LiAlH4 0.9mol) as reducing agent. Stir at room temperature overnight under argon protection. TLC check the progress of the reaction and wait until the reaction is complete Afterwards, the excess lithium aluminum tetrahydrogen was quenched with ethyl acetate, and then an appropriate amount of water was added, extracted with ethyl acetate, and dried. The yield was 93%.
