D-serine (5 g, 0.0476 mole) was suspended and stirred in a mixed solvent of 25 ml of methanol and 25 ml of purified water, sodium bicarbonate (12 g, 0.1428 mole) was added at room temperature and acetic anhydride (Ac2O, 10.8 ml, 0.114 mole) Respectively. After stirring for 30 minutes at room temperature, the reaction mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure to remove the reaction solvent. 20 ml of purified water was then added,The pH was adjusted to 3 by adding the solution. 100 ml of ethanol was added to the concentrated residue, and the resulting solid was filtered off, and the filtrate was concentrated to obtain crude Acetyl-D-serine
