Steps:

4.4 Step 4: Preparation of compound VI (diethyl 1,2-cyclopentadicarboxylate)

Put 50g of compound V prepared in step 3 obtained by distillation and purification and 100mL of solvent 1,4-dioxane into a hydrogenation reactor, and then add 1g of Raney nickel and 5g of H-ZSM-5 as hydrogenation catalysts, In the presence of hydrogen, react at 120°C and 1MPa, continue to heat up to 180°C after no hydrogen absorption, and react at 3.1MPa for 10h. After separation, 18g of pure compound VI (82.4% molar yield) is obtained
