Intermediate 41: Ethyl 2-(l,3,5-trim ethyl- lH-pyrazol-4-yl)acetate To a solution of Intermediate 34 (400 mg, 2.15 mmol) in acetic acid (3 mL) was added methyl hydrazine (125 μ, 2.37 mmol) dropwise and reaction stirred at room temperature for 3 h. Reaction mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure, yielding Intermediate 41 as a colourless oil (349 mg, 73%). Vppm (400 MHz, CDC13); 4.15 (2H), 3.74 (3H), 3.35 (2H), 2.22 (6H), 1.28 (3H).
