General procedure: Compounds 1a-f, 2-thioxo-3-(o-aryl)-quinazolin-4-ones, were synthesized by refluxing the appropriate isothiocyanates with anthranilic acid in ethanol for 5 h. The compounds were purified by recrystallization from ethanol.
