Steps:

2 Embodiment 2: the preparation of 3,4-dichloromethylpyridine

Add 10.7g (100mmol) 3,4-lutidine, 75g (420 mmol) N-chlorosuccinimide, 80mg dibenzoyl peroxide, 300ml carbon tetrachloride to a 1L reaction flask , stirred, heated to reflux, and irradiated with a 100W 395nm ultraviolet lamp, and reacted overnight. The reaction liquid was filtered, and the filtrate was washed with saturated sodium carbonate water, dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate, spin-dried to dry the solvent, and recrystallized twice with dichloromethane/n-hexane to obtain 9.2 g of solids, with a yield of 52%.
