Reaction Conditions:

Stage #1:(3S)-1-benzyl-3-hydroxypyrrolidine-2,5-dione with palladium 10% on activated carbon;hydrogen in ethanol at 75; under 4125.41 Torr; for 5 h;Autoclave;
Stage #2: with hydrogenchloride in isopropyl alcohol at 20;Temperature;Pressure;

Steps:

1-2; 4 Synthesis of (S)-3-pyrrolidinol hydrochloride
(3S)-N-benzyl-3-hydroxypyrrolidine-2,5-dione (100g), put into a 1L autoclave, add 500mL ethanol, add 10percent palladium on carbon (water content 58percent, model D10H5A , Shaanxi Ruike New Material Co., Ltd.) 5g, add hydrogen, keep the reaction system pressure 0.55MPa, slowly increase the temperature to 75°C, react for 5 hours, the central control reaction is completed, filter and recover the palladium carbon, concentrate the solvent, and add Add isopropanol (200mL) and stir to dissolve completely, add dropwise concentrated hydrochloric acid (45mL, 12M, 1.1eq), stir overnight at room temperature, filter and dry to obtain a white solid, namely (S)-3-pyrrolidol hydrochloride 53g The yield is 88percent, and the purity is 99.2percent.
