6 Example 6: Synthesis of 2-(imidazo[1,2-a]pyridin-3-yl)acetic acid
Ethyl 2-(imidazo[1,2-a]pyridin-3-yl)acetate was used for 20.4 g.Add 50mL of ethanol to dissolve,Add 2mol/L sodium hydroxide aqueous solution 100mL, and stir at 40-50°C for 1.5-2 hours. TLC monitors the reaction. After the reaction is completed, the reaction solution is extracted once with 200 mL of dichloromethane. The aqueous layer is collected and neutralized with hydrochloric acid solution. Extract three times with 500mL of methylene chloride, combine the organic phases and wash them with water, dry them, and concentrate under reduced pressure. Heat and reflux with anhydrous ethanol to dissolve the concentrates. Cool naturally, filter and dry to obtain 16.5g of white solids. Yield: 93.5%.
