2,4-Difluoroaniline (2) was used as a raw material and diazotized to obtain 2,4-difluorochlorobenzene. Bromination with NBS yielded 3-chloro-2,6-difluorobromobenzene, which was then acidified via a Grignard reaction to obtain the target compound, 3-chloro-2,6-difluorobenzoic acid. Compared with the four methods mentioned above, this method uses milder reaction conditions, has abundant raw material sources, and is simpler to operate, making it more suitable for industrial production.
