Fe(acac)3 catalyst (3.5 mg, 0.010 mmol, 2 mol%) was added at 0 °C and the reaction was carried out for 3 hours. Upon completion of the reaction, the reaction was quenched with water and the reaction product was extracted with ethyl acetate. The yield of 4-fluorobenzylboronic acid pinacol ester was calculated to be 93% by gas chromatographic analysis.
