4) Saltation reaction: 22.1 g of (3-fluorophenyl)hydrazine was dissolved in 15.4 mL of 37% hydrochloric acid and stirred at 65 °C until crystals precipitated from the reaction solution. The reaction solution was then cooled to 20 °C and the solid product was collected by filtration.
