Phenyl Tris(methylethylketoxime)silane (POS) is clear and yellowish or colorless liquid with a typical smell (MEKO). The product readily hydrolyzes upon contact with moisture. The product is used as a crosslinker in the manufacturing of 1-part neutral cure silicone sealant and will allow the skilled formulator to develop low modulus sealants with high movement capability.
Using Phenyl Tris(methylethylketoxime)silane in sealant-formulations will also provide improved tear-resistance and heat-resistance. Another important advantage of using PC7600 in silicone sealants is that extended tooling times can be achieved without jeopardizing crack-resistance.
