The pure product is white crystals with a melting point of 199-201°C. It is insoluble in water, but 1g can be dissolved in 100ml of acetone. It is readily soluble in organic solvents such as DMF and pyridine. It is poorly soluble in water, ethanol, and benzene, but readily soluble in dimethyl sulfoxide. It decomposes readily in contact with alkalis and strong acids. It is stable when stored at room temperature and is relatively stable to light and heat. | [Uses]
