400g of ethylbenzyl chloride, containing 25% 2-ethyl, 69% 4-ethyl, and 2% 3-ethylbenzyl chloride, 199.5g of sodium hydroxide, 112.2g of water, 8g of tetrabutylammonium bromide, and 200g of ethylbenzene, were added to a reaction vessel and stirred until homogeneous. The reaction vessel was then heated to 50℃, and 197.7g of isobutyraldehyde was added dropwise while controlling the reaction temperature. After the addition was complete, the mixture was kept at 70℃ for 10 hours. The reaction vessel was cooled to 10℃, and the reaction system was filtered and separated at room temperature. The aqueous phase was recycled, and the organic phase was washed with acetic acid solution and water. The solvent was removed from the washed organic phase, and the fraction containing the target product, Florazone, was obtained by vacuum distillation with a yield of 77%. |
