2-Methoxypyridne-4-boronic acid is an important intermediate in the synthesis of N-type calcium ion channel inhibitors. It can be synthesized from readily available and inexpensive 4-bromopyridine via oxidation, nitration, substitution, reduction, and boronization reactions.
