Human placental lactogen (HPL), also called human chorionic somatomammotropin 1, is a polypeptide placental hormone. Its structure and function is similar to that of growth hormone. The gene encoding this protein is localized on human chromosome 17. Recombinant human placental lactogen is a 22.3kDa protein. | [Biological Activity]
