Allgemeine Beschreibung

A cell-permeable sulfonamido analog of SB-3CT (Cat. No. 444274) that displays enhanced aqueous solubility and improved selectivity (Ki = 16 nM, 180 nM, and 900 nM for MMP-2, MMP-9, and MMP-14, respectively). Inhibits MMP-3, MMP-7, and MMP-1 only at much higher concentrations (Ki = 3.6 μM, 295 μM, and >25 μM, respectively). Binds to the enzyme active site and acts as an irreversible inhibitor. Reported to potently suppress cell migration and invasion of HT1080 cells (80% inhibition at 2 μM and >25% inhibition at 100 nM, respectively). Unlike the general MMP inhibitor GM6001 (Cat. No. 364205), this inhibitor does not block the activation of cellular pro-MMP-2 by MT1-MMP.
