Prepared by extraction of the peel of the fruit. The oil is a liquid with an intense, orange-like odor.
Composition
The following components have been identified in tangelo oil: octanal, decanal, linalool, citronellol, terpinen-4-ol, undecanal, linalyl propionate, α-terpineol, d-terpinyl acetate and neryl acetate.
Safety Profile
Low toxicity by ingestion and skin contact. A skin irritant.When heated to decomposition it emits acrid smoke and irritating fumes.
