Radium bromide is the bromide salt of Ra with the formula RaBr2. It is used primarily in separating radium from uranium ore. RaBr2 is a water-soluble, poisonous, radioactive white powder or white orthorhombic crystals that is corrosive to skin or flesh. It melts at 728°C used in medicine, physical research, and luminous paint. Its structure remains unknown. Radium bromide has been used for skin complaints such as acne, moles, skin, cancer, eczema, dermatitis, and acne–rosacea.
